Disaster response and relief agreements

In advance of a disaster, customers can choose from a menu of services to help them effectively respond to, manage, and recover from disasters. These customizable plans can include guaranteed mobile units, fueling service, on-site technicians and more.

Preventive maintenance

By proactively identifying and fixing problems, preventive maintenance can minimize repair costs and give you confidence that your system will perform at its best in an emergency. We carefully document what we do and provide you with a detailed service report.

Load bank testing and certification

To measure your system’s response in a true emergency, we test it up to its full rated output and provide you a detailed performance report. Our mobile load bank fleet ranges from 70kW to 2,000kW and totals more than 10mW of resistive and reactive banks. Our testing:

• seats your system’s piston rings

• can help eliminate wet stacking

• removes harmful carbon deposits

• expels moisture

• exercises the entire generator

• helps you meet NFPA and JCAHO requirements

Electrical systems testing

Regular electrical systems testing can include:

• measuring connection heat

• ensuring cable conductivity

• cleaning and testing circuit breakers

• calibrating relays and meters

• performing NETA-recommended acceptance testing

Fuel cleaning

Throughout the year, you may only use a small amount of your 24- to 48-hour supply of fuel. Unused fuel can age, grow microorganisms, and accumulate water and other contaminants. Our portable filtration system removes waste products and returns fuel to combustible condition.

Systems upfit

Our upfit shop manages major systems assembly and can customize your system with enclosures, tanks and other accessories. Our technicians will work with you to identify and install the right custom upfits for your specifications and budget.

Warranty administration and sales

As an official warranty administrator for your covered Kohler product, we manage warranty issues from repair to reimbursement. Nixon technicians and dealers are trained to identify covered repairs, and to service your system according to Kohler’s warranty standards. When the repair is complete, our service centers’ staff files and manages your claim so you don’t have to.

We also can provide extended two-, five- and 10-year warranties for your existing systems.
